Yeah, give my settings a go. As for your problem, could you explain a little better what you mean? Pan & Scan implies that the picture is zoomed and sides chopped off, but then you mention some type of motion artifacting.
Also let me know sources and framerates/resolutions you are sending to the TV.

When I refer to pan and scan, I mean the shifting that happens in pan & scan movies so that you can see what would be in a wide screen view. For example, there are two people talking to each other. In widescreen, you see both of them on the screen. In p&s, it does what you say zooms and crops, but then in some movies it will shift the view so you see the other person. It is this eerie digital movement that allows you to see the other person. Essentially it's the panning of the view that would not be necessary if it was in widescreen view.
My sources are an hdmi cable from my Sony receiver to the TV. My frameratees/resolutions are the default settings from the TV which I haven't adjusted yet. I did adjust the setting from Vivid to Movie because the brightness of vivid was too much.
I can give you more info when I try out your settings and see if it solves the problems. Thanks for you help!
