Most people I know just got there component cables hooked up so they actually get 480p, and that's if they have the set to do it.
They think why buy a $80 cable with three plugs when the yellow one does the same thing.
In there minds 720 or 1080 ranks right up there with ray guns and teleporters.
HD just doesn't have enough benefits to convince J6P to part with his hard earned cash. I hope I'm wrong and someone can shove this in my face two years form now when SD is dead. I really really want to be wrong.
