Interesting find at Costco

As I first walked into a Costco today I was greeted by flat panel TV's that had what? HD DVD images on em'! This was a bit surprising to me, but in a good way. I mean I figured for sure the only things that would be on their main TV's would be Blu-ray, but them having HD DVD on them was kinda cool.

And this wasn't all of it either, the main high def players display was for none other than HD DVD. They had a big sign up for HD DVD and detailing the benefits of the technology and touting that 7 free HD DVD's were available with the purchase of an HD DVD player. And on the display shelf they had the Toshiba HD-D3 for sale at $129 and right under had a stack of boxed D3's.

Curious, I looked around for a Blu-ray display but found none. I know that Costco carries the Sony S301 but I don't know where they had them. I know that the D3 is 1080i but I just found this as interesting.
