So, since the MSI motherboard I bought to go with my C2D isn't compatable, I bought myself a nice Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4 motherboard. Next will be the video cards. I guess since I am going this far, I'll get the HD3870X2s, I figure saving for two months each isn't THAT bad

Why in the world would you buy that ATI card. It is a dual-GPU solution that loses to a single 8800 GPU in Crysis. Not to mention the 9800 GX2 will be out very soon and will obviously blow the doors off that ATI card.
