Pretty cool, awaiting the BD50 I bought a 35ft DVI > HDMI cable from monoprice as well as a 25ft digital coax cable for DD/DTS 5.1 audio. I had to run the output of the video card directly to the HDTV because of HDCP problems between the Integra DTC-9.8 and GeForce 8800GTS; it is either due to the 9.8 not supporting DVI-HDCP, or simply a problem on PowerDVD's end. There is no way to fix it, it is hardware incompatibility unfortunately, so I can't use the 9.8's switch for my PC. I also bought a logitech nano notebook mouse which has a receiver with huge range, and used that as my "remote." The 8800GTS has some nice overscan compensation utilities which make browsing the desktop much easier prior to movie launch.
Anyway, I am able to set the pc to 1080p24 and get output similar to that of a standalone. Not a bad substitution until I can score a good deal on a Panasonic BD50... I wanted this drive anyway for HD DVD compatibility as well as BD-R, so now I can also use it as a temp drive until the BD50 arrives. Funny enough, with Standard DVD I remember I did the same thing with the Creative Encore DXR2 until the Panasonic A310 was available.
Who knows, if it drops below $200 maybe I'll score the GGC-H20L to match this drive
