I dont usually have issue with people on line. I don't wear my headset unless I am playing with a friend and usually we do private chat. Otherwise, i dont wear it at all, but its maybe 1 in 10 games that i get some annoying people that wont shut up. Most of the time, its no communication at all once the game starts. And then there is that rare game where someone is actually talking and its strategy. Doing small team tactical games in COD4 that way can be a lot of fun. I have had some bad experiences, but nothing to turn me off of online gaming in any way. Its too much fun playing with other people.
As for a Live night, I would be in for doing this all the way. Halo 3 works, though I would prefer COD4 since I stopped playing Halo once COD came out. Just not as fun, but any game would work.
