Perhaps, but Onkyo in the past has not released DSP firmware upgrades to home users. Some have gotten MAIN FW upgrades which can be performed via serial cable, but none have received a DSP FW upgrade to my knowledge even when requesting the latest (and there was at least one of those thus far).
