You're right about TV actors on long-running shows trying to get good work after being on one show for a long time. Most actors on shows like any of the Star Treks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, X-Files, and even Friends and Seinfeld, don't come close to achieving similar fame afterwards.

I've wanted Lana's character to die off for about 4 years now. She's holding him back and with the much hotter Ericka Durance and Laura Vandervoot on the show, it wouldn't be missing that much.
