Yeah, I just bought PowerDVD8 last week (needed the PureVideo codecs for work) and found out that HD-DVD was dropped. I don't get that at all. I could see a place that needs to stock discs dropping support, but they already had the structure to play them in place... WTH?
Oh well, I still have the Ultra 7 version that came with the drive... and there's a hack to dual install both versions, (and the v7 I have will still play from the HD... they've killed that in later versions, too.)
