I don't think the extras would take that much time to re-do. Some time yes, but that time could easily be made available if they have the money.
U-Control I don't expect, because IMO BD-J simply isn't there yet on BD. However the PiP stuff could be ported using the template of some of the 1.1 BD-J discs with PiP.
