Maybe I'm a complete idiot, but I'm having issues with the 2.3 firmware update for the PS3 - I can't get it to download.

I went out and bought a Sandisk 1gb cruzer micro USB flash drive. I went to Sony's site, followed the directions to download to a computer/USB flash drive. So I went to download it to the PS3 last night and it was showing that no data was present on the USB drive. I called Sony and they said that I might have created the folders wrong and to check if the folder names are all in caps (they are). They also said that my security on the USB flash drive might be enabled. I checked that and it's not. So I'm kinda at a loss as to what's happening.

I did plug in the USB drive this again this morning just to check everything again. Right now, it's saved on the USB drive in the documents; downloads ; PS3 ; UPDATE. On the USB drive under documents, it has four catagories - music, downloads, pictures and video. I saved it in downloads, in the created PS3 folder.

So am I doing something wrong? Should I have created the PS3 folder in the catagory section with the UPDATE folder in the PS3 catagory, meaning doing it this way - documents; PS3 ; UPDATE? Or did I do it right the first time? I'm not a computer whiz by any means and this is my first time using a flash drive.
