I wouldn't say it's a 'bad' idea to keep the 4 you have if you are upgrading all the other stuff. However, your center upgrade is worth being careful with since IMO you want it to match well with your future fronts.
Have you listened to any other speakers yet? A friends house, a store...yadda yadda?
