Monrozombi, this season was intended to be 16 episodes, along with the next 2 seasons. We're only getting 14 this season due to the strike, but the producers have said that those missing 2 will be added to the next 2 seasons, so seasons 5 & 6 will be 17 episodes each.

Yeah i've been reading that they're going to give us they promised so I'm very excited for that.

I'm excited for them getting off the island but afraid at the same time. I said to Mrs. Monro last night that while watching S1 I often wondered if they'd get off the island and figured if they did that it'd be the last episode. I never expected Lost to be this good and 2 keep us intrigued 4 seasons later and with 34 more episodes to go, they obviously have something in mind that will keep us watching. It's nice to know that they have this mapped out so not only to keep the fans happy but to help retain all the stars till the end which helps when a show ends with the same cast.
