TrueHD and DTS-HDMA have mathematically identical output as codecs, but that does not mean the two soundtracks sound the same. Generally DTS likes doing mixing and encoding in-house, while Dolby is done by the studio/authoring house. If DTS has more talent mixing than the studio, it is possible for them to make the soundtrack sound better in the home environment by altering the master to suit the home best. So I think you will really be comparing the mixes here as opposed to the codecs, since technically neither one can be better than the other if they are fed the same source.
