Just a little addendum to my last post! (Oh no, not more!!!) I just reread 1138's post and thought that perhaps we weren't necessarilly discussing the same thing! I am not saying that different cables will necessarilly stop information getting through but that they have an effect on the QUALITY of the signal, which is very, very important - slightly less so in computer applications because you are simply transferring data - and NO this is not the same as in HT. There's also a survey on the web about cables and the perceived differences - nearly 90% of respondents could hear a difference. That's it - I'm well and truly out of here.....
