RBH Announces First Linear Array Speakers

RBH has just unleashed its SI-250 on the world—which includes your neighbors.

These new in-wall speakers are designed to disturb, providing high amounts of bass output from a very small environment. Hey —we’re not complaining and judging by the RBH units we’ve heard in the past, we won’t be able to hear others gripe about it either.

Each in-wall incorporates a 1-inch soft dome tweeter, a 2.5-inch mid-range and a patented Linear Array Transducer (LAT) as the in-wall’s woofer, which is what provides the booming bass.

They may look small, but they crank enough for a complete system, in excess of 100dB SPL.

Wipe the drool and get ready to wait; these units won’t be out until early 2008.

Interesting...I wonder how hard they are to drive, or is that in the pdf I didn't open?

Anymore news on these? I honestly find it hard to believe they can pump cleanly as inwalls. In fact, I find the thought of inwalls a hard pill to swallow given my limited knowledge of speaker dynamics but hey...I'm willing to listen.
