Are HDMI switchboxes any good?
Here's my question. I am thinking about buying a DENON 2808, but it only has two HDMI inputs in the back. So do I spend the $500. extra for the 3808 or get an Onyko 875 or spend $20-50 or a switchbox? My buddy has a DENON 987 and he loves it and highly recommends the brand.
Thanks!

Forget about the switchbox, spend the extra cash on the Onkyo 875 for its Reon HQV deinterlacing/upscaling. It blows away the DCDi in the Denons and will make your Blu-ray/HD DVD player have fantastic picture quality with standard DVD. The extra HDMI inputs are just a bonus.
I always recommend Denon, but this round Onkyo has them beat on all fronts IMO.

I love my monoprice 5 X 1 HDMI switcher. you can still run your HD and Blu players through you receiver , and then to your switcher. the extra HDMI ports are always nice to have.
I've bought lots of stuff from Monoprice.com and they are awesome http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 ![]()

Why wouldn't you run both to your Switch and then run the one out to the Receiver....that way every DVD player is on your DVD input?
