Testing potential roots:
* I disconnected the amp from my Onkyo, connected it to my Harmon Kardon, still dead = Not the receiver. * I then lugged the right speaker over to the left's position and connected it, speaker works fine = Not the right speaker. I also made sure all the connections were tight and nothing is frayed/touching. I also turned off the power switch in the back of the amp and unplugged it, then plugged it back in. This only leaves the amp, which has been babied. All the other channels work (at least in the rest of the 5.0 config). The right channel is completely dead, no static, no cutting in and out, just zero output. The amp's four start-up "clicks" are present and there's no sound or unusual smell coming from the amp itself. Nothing looks burnt looking down through the top vents. It worked fine as usual on Thursday, the last time I used it prior to this. Essentially it's operating perfectly as usual, except the right channel is "missing"...? Though interestingly the really quiet, "ear on grill" buzz in the tweeter is still present when the amp is on as usual. I mean what the hell? ![]() |
