parts-express.com
This really could've gone in any of the hardware forums, but I just want to make a quick post and recommend parts-express.com for anyone in the market for audio/video parts or accessories.
I recently had to get some binding posts to repair a speaker and having never bought any kind of speaker parts before I had no idea where to go. After some Googling I found Parts Express, and while I can't point out anything specific my entire shopping experience with them was great. The site loads fast and has a nice layout, their prices are very good, their shipping is reasonable, and their customer service seems good too (I only e-mailed one question, but got a reply within 15 minutes), everything arrived well packaged and delivery only took 2 days to Canada. So yeah, thumbs up from me for parts-express.com. KM

My roommate is a HUGE audiophile an has been building speakers for over 10 years. When I mentioned that I was going to go out and buy a subwoofer for my living room, he pulled me aside and showed me parts-express. He also showed me an expensive, $1600 subwoofer and the specs it had. Went to parts-express and saw the same parts that totaled $600.
So once Christmas is overwith, I'll be buying those parts and building my subwoofer for nearly 1/3rd the cost of a pre-built one. (Provided that the flooding in my basement goes away so I can work with my power tools for the enclosure. )

Love Partsexpress.com, especially for parts and DIY subwoofers. I'd still buy my speaker cables from Blue Jeans Cable -- Broadcast-Quality Cables at Reasonable Prices, and other cables from Monoprice.com, but PE is awesome. Their Tech Talk forum is pretty cool too, though the forum software is clunky.
I built the (at least once) infamous 15" Quatro w/ SA240 plate amp, which was about $200 for the driver (speaker) and amp. I spent another $100 or so on MDF, spike feet, grill cloth, grill guides, cables, paint, etc... I built a sealed cabinet, so it's response curve isn't as flat as I would like, but this sucker pounds. It's a bit boomy, so I have plans to eventually replace it with a Velodyne or, more likely, a servo kit from Rythmik Audio.
