Good deal on a Pioneer Receiver?

I'm looking to upgrade my old receiver with one that has HDMI support, and I came across this sale for a Pioneer VSX-818V-K / Speaker package. Is anyone familiar with this model? THe sale ends on the 27th, so any info would be appreciated!

Well if you are getting it for the HDMI sound formats then you can skip this one. Besides being a 5.1 receiver it also only does a Video Only HDMI connection No Sound.

If you already have the speakers (and it seems you do) The you can't go wrong with the Onkyo receivers, but they are a bit more up here in Canada. Yamaha don't make that bad of a receiver as well. Like this Yamaha 7.2 HTR-6160 (forget the .2 its still a .1) Its onsale for the same price as the package you linked too, but at Future Shop. Best Buy is like $130 more but you will get an extra $13 off after price matching and some good amount of Best Buy points too boot.
