Fry's Electronics, a chain of technology big box stores, founded in 1985. There are currently 7 stores in Northern California, 9 stores in Southern California, 8 stores in Texas, 2 stores in Arizona, and 1 store each in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Privately owned company, I believe. They own Outpost.com as well.

Similar to The Wiz or J&R.

Just got back from Fry's. Most of these prices were accurate, but Good Night and Good Luck was not on sale for $8.99. It was regularly priced, at $14.99.

Perhaps some of these sales specials are subject to change depending on the locale of the store.

Sometimes, the sales are regional, and don't apply to every store. I think we've run across this in the past.

And that's fine, but perhaps this thread should contain a caveat that all sales listed apply to Southern California and may not necessarily apply to all other Fry's locations. Just a thought.

Also, I've noticed that sometimes they'll have the sale listed in the paper but not have it marked on the shelves at the store that way or even ring up correctly at the register. That's happened a few times to me at the Plano, TX Fry's. Fortunately they have the paper ads posted so it's pretty easy to show them the correct price.
