Fry's sale

I'm not sure if this is area-specific to Dallas, but I just got Mulholland Dr. for $10 and Being John Malkovich for $8. Some others but those were the only two I wanted.

When it came out about a year ago, the retail price was $32. I wouldn't be surprised if it is now lower in their computer (after the recent price reduction). I do agree that it is a rip off, but high prices sort of go with B&N.

I'm giving this topic a bump, as I might use it as a regularly recurring topic for some of the insanely cheap deals I see in the Fry's Electronics ads every week.

Near as I can tell, Fry's prints ads every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, and some are just too good not to at least mention to those who live near a Fry's and want to take advantage of these great prices.

But rather than create a new topic every time a new ad comes out, I'll just post them here on a recurring basis.

Good thru tomorrow, Thursday, 6/12:
Ocean's Eleven (Soderbergh remake): $8.99
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: $8.99

My Fry's ad has these for $8.99. Hmmm, a good buy nontheless, tho I would highly recommend the "Almost Famous: Untitled (Bootleg Cut)" instead.

Just an added note, through Fry's online website at Outpost.com, they're advertising new releases this week at the following prices:

$14.99 - Dark Blue
$17.99 - Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, The Hours, Punch-Drunk Love

I don't think the prices above apply to their brick-and-mortar stores. They seem to be treated as 2 separate entities.

Outpost.com (Fry's) has Gangs of New York listed at 15.99

I ordered it from there, it was cheaper then deepdiscount and I won't have to wait until the next solar eclipse to get it.

When Fry's puts box sets on sale, their prices are unbeatable. I picked up my Die Hard 5-Star box set for $40 and my 24 Season 1 for $35. You still can't find prices that good for those anywhere else.

Goodies thru Tuesday, 7/22:

$5.99 - Hard to Kill

$6.99 - Green Berets, The Pledge

$8.99 - Exit Wounds

$9.99 - The Matrix, Collateral Damage, Legally Blonde

$24.99 - Friends Season Four

$59.99 - La Femme Nikita Season One

Edit:
I found a print ad that seemed to differ from the online ads that I normally use to check the prices. I guess this means that Fry's uses different ads for different regional areas.

The print ad had 2 more DVD titles on sale, in addition to what I already listed:

$5.99 - Much Ado About Nothing, Red Dawn

Just picked up Star Trek: Nemesis at a great price at Fry's this weekend. Looks like Fry's might have one of the lowest prices for Daredevil this week, too. Prices good thru Tuesday, 7/29:

$14.88 - Daredevil

$14.99 - Basic, Die Another Day, Gangs of New York, About Schmidt, Animatrix, Star Trek: Nemesis, Recruit, Phone Booth
