The Wiz going out of business? - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

k my dad mentioned to me that the wiz was going out of business. i kinda guessed this when all the Wiz's i know of except 1 are no longer open. well anyways he wanted me to check out the wiz's website to see if they have any clearance sales but the site dont mention it.

are there clearance sales? if so how much % is off? and how much are DVDs?

I went to one sale at 5th Ave. and 46th St. in NYC and everything was 30% off.

Norwalk CT was 40 % last week. DVD were slim pickings but there were plenty of cds. Didn't see any great deals on TVs or that type stuff but then again I'm not looking to buy.

Anyone know when they're shutting down officially? They may increase the percentage off as that date gets closer.

I asked someone in the CD/DVD department that and they said "When the inventory is depleted."

When I went last week, all DVDs were 30% off. Couldn't find anything I wanted though. 30% off their regular price was O.K., but not great.

I saw a commercial this morning that everything is now 40% off - I'm going back today - hope that there are some decent DVD's left.
