Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including. In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. I have a lovely wife and a five-year-old son I'd rather spend time with. Please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!

Thanks a lot Unicorn. I see no reason to cancel my Amazon order now that you've posted the sales prices for Miyazaki. Don't have a BB & I got it with STL SSS & a $10 coupon (with City Slickers 2 to get the order big enough for the $10 coupon I got the 3 pack & CS2 for $62.58 & I already have Mononoke although it would have made good ebay or trade material). Next week being Easter Sunday will it be a Monday roundup? I can certainly understand if it is. Great job.

Once again, thank you Unicorn. These are invaluable to me. Before I started visiting this site I would have to trek to all of these places to find the price and then have to go back to the one with the better deal.

Just Family Guy for me this week and maybe I'll check to see if Best Buy got around to reducing the prices on some of the previous markdowns (BASEketball and Saving Silverman, to name two). Can't wait until Tuesday: go to work, go to Best Buy, pay my taxes, get a free hot dog at the post office, and then go home to watch Family Guy and then 24. Plus, a holiday weekend to watch all of the Family Guy episodes. As the Kool-Aid guy would say "OH YEAH!"

I'd like all three Myazakis and MGM's Evelyn SE, but unfortunately I only have enough for one so that will have to go to my favorite movie of all time, Spirited Away. Hopefully I'll pick up the others later on.

Also, if anyone is planning to go to Target for these, you might be interested to know that they're currently having a sale on a few older Disney releases, including the soon-to-be-out-of-print Toy Story and Toy Story 2 discs for $12.99 apiece. They're the barebones individual releases, but that's still a pretty decent deal amd I don't have a lot of money to spend on the Ultimate Toy Box right now, so I'm hoping to pick those up. Anyone else who still needs these should take note of this sale.

Also, it's nice to know that The Truth About Cats and Dogs and A Midsummer Night's Dream got price drops -- now that they're so cheao I might have to pick them up!! What about Batman? I never saw it, having not been "into" superhero movies until Spider-Man last year, and I've heard mixed things. Thanks!

Thanks for the consideration, but I don't celebrate that holiday. If friends or family take advantage of a known day off (some of them have any-day-a-week jobs like retail) to go cook out or something, I might be suspiciously absent.

Not bad! Now the trick is getting Best Buy to honor the free Princess Mononoke AND the $3-off coupons at the same time since their fine print on the free deal says "not valid with any other offer". If they offer resistance I'd go straight to the manager as these are Manufacturer Coupons and should be accepted regardless of any other offer that the retailer makes...they get 100% reimbursed for those coupons and they have nothing to lose. In fact, they get a small handling fee for each one they take.

On top of that, the wording on the coupon is such that there is no reason for them not to take three of them at once, as long as you are buying three qualified items listed on the coupons. To quote: "Limit one coupon per specified item purchased." That's the only limiting term on the coupon!

Don't forget that Wal-Mart will probably have all this 5% to 10% cheaper in stores that compete with Best Buy. However, they probably won't have any copies of Mononoke to give away free. Nor will they - at least in my experience - "compensate" by deducting more or giving away something else free. Only a good place to go if you already have or are not interested in Mononoke.

Costco is VERY likely to have all three items at no more than $18.29, and perhaps even less. However, they don't take coupons because of their wholesale club status. So I'll go there just for Family Guy.

So is Absolute Beginners made by the alcohol company? That's what I first think of when I read that!

As for me, I will be getting Drumline. Pan it if you must but I enjoyed the film, any person that was a band geek in high school should like this one!

Maybe Unicorn should start to get paid by some of these companies, I know that his advertisement of Circuit City has kept me from going to other places I might have gone too! Thanks for the great work this week Unicorn!

I heard somewhere that there is a coupon on one of the Miyasaki(i know I hacked the spelling)films for a 5 dollar off coupon if you buy one of the others at the same time, so you might get another five dollars off on top of the three dollar coupon.

You're referring to the $4-off thing I did in my "math" post above. I have head mostly that it will be an inside-the-box mail-in rebate. On the other hand, if it's an on-the-box instant-rebate then I won't complain, either!

Yeah, its an instant coupon. That's a good thing since I'm too lazy mail anything in.

They are on Kiki's Delivery Service and Castle in the Sky, but not on Sprited Away (there is a sticker on Spirited Away that mentions the rebate though).

my 3 from women's day worked. however the coupons with the DVDs were not instant and on the outside of the case. they are $2 off coupons for when you buy 1 (spirited away,Kiki's or Castle). i didnt bother cuz then i would have to argue it with customer service. plus the girl on register had a hard enough time understanding the $3 off ones so i didnt have enough patience to bother with the others. so i decided i might give it to my friend if he decides to buy them.
btw Castle and Kiki's are both 2-disc sets!

Yeah, I went to Media Play and there were coupons on the front of CITS and KDS for $4 off when you bought one with Spirited Away. So all in the same purchase, I got four DVDs for under $60. Very nice.

Steam Supporting Actor Join Date: Feb 2003	Once again, thank you Unicorn. These are invaluable to me. Before I started visiting this site I would have to trek to all of these places to find the price and then have to go back to the one with the better deal. Just Family Guy for me this week and maybe I'll check to see if Best Buy got around to reducing the prices on some of the previous markdowns (BASEketball and Saving Silverman, to name two). Can't wait until Tuesday: go to work, go to Best Buy, pay my taxes, get a free hot dog at the post office, and then go home to watch Family Guy and then 24. Plus, a holiday weekend to watch all of the Family Guy episodes. As the Kool-Aid guy would say "OH YEAH!"

Now the trick is getting Best Buy to honor the free Princess Mononoke AND the $3-off coupons at the same time since their fine print on the free deal says "not valid with any other offer". If they offer resistance I'd go straight to the manager as these are Manufacturer Coupons and should be accepted regardless of any other offer that the retailer makes...they get 100% reimbursed for those coupons and they have nothing to lose. In fact, they get a small handling fee for each one they take. On top of that, the wording on the coupon is such that there is no reason for them not to take three of them at once, as long as you are buying three qualified items listed on the coupons. To quote: "Limit one coupon per specified item purchased." That's the only limiting term on the coupon! Don't forget that Wal-Mart will probably have all this 5% to 10% cheaper in stores that compete with Best Buy. However, they probably won't have any copies of Mononoke to give away free. Nor will they - at least in my experience - "compensate" by deducting more or giving away something else free. Only a good place to go if you already have or are not interested in Mononoke. Costco is VERY likely to have all three items at no more than $18.29, and perhaps even less. However, they don't take coupons because of their wholesale club status. Pan it if you must but I enjoyed the film, any person that was a band geek in high school should like this one! Maybe Unicorn should start to get paid by some of these companies, I know that his advertisement of Circuit City has kept me from going to other places I might have gone too! StinkPalm Loves chocolate covered pretzels Join Date: Sep 2002 Location: New York City.....recognize	my 3 from women's day worked. however the coupons with the DVDs were not instant and on the outside of the case. they are $2 off coupons for when you buy 1 (spirited away,Kiki's or Castle). i didnt bother cuz then i would have to argue it with customer service. plus the girl on register had a hard enough time understanding the $3 off ones so i didnt have enough patience to bother with the others. so i decided i might give it to my friend if he decides to buy them. btw Castle and Kiki's are both 2-disc sets! __________________ Here's the pulse, alright.
