Donnie Darko is worth the regular $9.99 price tag. Definitely pick it up.

Thanks StinkPalm. I see you have Treasure Planet. Nothing listed on the original Treasure Island? I hear that if you buy the two together that you get an instant $4 off (like Pulp Fiction & Jackie Brown initially), plus the $3 coupon from the magazines. I'd love to know the price of each. Hopefully CC will carry both of them (no BB here).

Wow, nothing catches my interest for the second week in a row! I don't remember the last time that happened. But I have to say, the The 3 for $20 deal is pretty tempting...

Thanks for the info anyway, Stinkpalm

Slow week I think I'll only be getting Donnie Darko, The Edge, and I guess Point Break or Boondock Saints (though I haven't seen either of those 2)

Hmm, Treasure Planet and probably Treasure Island for me this week. Not sure if it'll be Best Buy though, somewhere else has got to have it lower than $20 (I hope.)

yeah i agree........$20 is quite pricey for a first week disney release. im thinking that CC and Target will have them around 16.99 or 17.99............with a free 2 liter bottle of coke
ill be happy with 17.99 cuz then with my women's day coupon ill get it for 14.99

I'll get it even if it is $19.99 everywhere (Tuck Everlasting was, except CC which was just $2 less, and I got it), but I hope it's less. Then again they might overcharge a bit on this one to try and recoup their claimed $180 million loss on making and marketing it, and that's fine with me because it's a wonderful movie that really deserved a lot more attention than it got.

ok let me correct myself a little since i got both the target and CC ads today with my paper.
Tresure Planet is advertised as "Low Price" and doesnt come with a free coke.......it comes with a free 8oz pacl of Nabisco Mini Oreos. YAY OREOS!!! my guess is the low price at target will be the cheapest out of the big stores.
CC has Treasure Planet listed as $18.99 though.

A few people have been telling me that Target will be $18.99 which is a bit better than what I expect to be the standard $19.99 (like I said, I think the retailers are pricing this a little higher so Disney can recoup some of their apparent $180m loss; maybe $19.99 is the MAP?) and with free Oreos it shouldn't be too bad a deal. I'll probably go with them anyway because it's closest to home of all the major DVD-selling stores.

According to a post at dvdtalk the Low Price for Treasure Planet will be $15.99. With the $3 coupon from any of the 4 magazines that carried it (& I got a couple from each) that would make TP $12.99 WITH free Oreos. I've got a (twin) nephew & niece birthday Tuesday & they'll be getting a copy of TP from Target from their Uncle. Heck, I might even give 'em the cookies. 2 Weeks Notice is also listed as $15.99 at Target. Looks like a Target week for me.
