super wal mart dvds

the super wal mart here has some pretty good stuff. i got drop dead gorgeous for $5.88 and cruel intentions for $9.44. they also had caveman, the movie that ringo star was in and some other good ones. here they have a HUGE bin full of them and some shopping carts holding some. oh and just though id add, the smokers is not a good blind buy. i got it for $5.88 thinking it would be good but is in fact one of the worst made movies ever. good to laugh at though

Just picked up Suicide Kings and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Next Generation for $5.88 each. Not exactly pillers of cinematic history, but worth a watch none the less and only a few bucks more then a rental.

It's a pretty indepth movie to write what it's actually about, but if you like Christopher Walken, I highly recommend it!

Actually I haven't watched it, but like Hellboy said, I like Christopher Walken (and Dennis Leary) and was planning on renting it at some point, but for $5.88 why not.

Be warned, in the Wal-Mart bins are DVDs of the 1989 film Millennium which are not worth $5.88. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Picked up Tigerland and Bedazzled (SE) this morning for $5.88 each. (To think I almost spent $20 on Tigerland at Best Buy...)

Also saw the Holy Special Edition of Batman The Movie, but I already had this.

I can't find decent DVDs at Wal-Mart. In fact, the Wal-Mart here doesn't even appear to have a $5.88 bin. Oh well. I guess it doesn't matter anyway, because I'd most likely never buy any of the DVDs priced at $5.88.

You buy what you want to buy.

I'll buy what I want to buy.

I thought $5.88 was a great price for The Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adventure.

But what do I know... I buy from the $5.88 bin.

More Wal-Mart

I ran out from work today to the Wal-Mart up the road to get some Claritin, and walked past a DVD display. They had 30 or 40 titles marked "Father's Day Promo" for $7.50 each. I picked up "Batman" and "Batman Returns," both of which have been on my VHS replacement list for a while now. They had the other two Batman movies, but I'm not interested in the non-Tim Burton ones. They also had a couple of John Wayne movies (The Green Berets and something I can't remember).

Most of the stuff is retailing for about $15 normally, so this is a great deal on catalog items. I'd post more titles, but my sinus headache was reaching critical mass at the time and I can't remember the rest of them.

A rich kid's sister is kidnapped, so he and some friends kidnap a mob boss (Walken) hoping to force him to use some of his "connections" to find out where his sister is being held. They start to crack when they realize what exactly they have gotten themsleves into and everything starts to unravel.

The plot sounds kinda cheesy, I know, but it really is damn good and very funny at times. For 6 bucks you really can't go wrong.

Just merging the other WalMart thread with the old one for the Father's Day cheapies. Same store being discussed so 2 threads aren't really needed.
