Ok, wow so let me get this straight...

Eyes Wide Shut
Full Metal Jacket
A Clockwork Orange
2001 A Space Odyssey
The Shining

For a total of about 50 dollars...

which only leaves 3 movies left (plus doc. disc)
Lolita $15
Dr. Strangelove $22
Barry Lyndon $15

Which comes to a total of $102 bucks. I can find the entire box set online for $134. I'm torn on whether or not that box set is worth the extra 32 dollars just for a box and Stanley Kubrick documentary disc. Damn I hate decisions.

Well, that's not quite right. It's two for $20, so you could get four of them for $40. If you bought another one, the fifth would be regular price. Still a pretty sweet deal. I myself will probably get A Clockwork Orange and The Shining.

You might want to check out this thread though.

All of these Best Buy deals are always available online at bestbuy.com, where you can indeed just buy one of the disks and get the cheap price.

Not always. One week I was disappointed not to find the currnet 'two for' deal online. Hopefully this one will be online, lots of good titles.

I read on another site that the price would be $9.99 (and that includes the bonus DVD). However, Shi...Metallica has bumped up the release date to tomorrow (June 5) instead, according to their website. Will it be < $10 or regular retail? We'll know better tomorrow.

Here's the link.

I didn't see any mention of The Angel Collection but bestbuy.com has it for $27.99 pre-order. However deepdiscountdvd.com has The Angel collection for $24.00 and Buffy season 4 for $43.91.

It's a few bucks cheaper than my local BJ's (they have it for US$75.99 I believe) and quite a bit less than Amazon ($89.99). Heck, I just might go fir it myself.

What rumors are these??? I highly doubt they'll ever be anamorphic....i thought there was some BIG controversy about that....anyways, i wanted Full Metal Jacket

*EDIT

I was at Best Buy yesterday and saw the Angel Collection on a cart ready to put on the shelves. I already had pre-ordered it elsewhere so I didn't pick it up. But, they will have it in stock.

Awesome price! This set was $119 in some stores when it first was released! I paid $89 or so and I am 100% satisfied. $69 is a great deal!

Damnit, both the 5 for $30 and the 2 for $20 ARE available online, but for some reason Full Metal Jacket comes out as $15, whereas all the other Kubrick's in the deal come out as $10....... I have to figure out how to get the deal now, considering I'm getting an even number of movies (6), yet i have to get Full Metal Jacket in stores...

That 5 for $30 deal is insane! I can finally pick up Showgirls and most likely those four Clint Eastwood DVDs.

If I hadn't seen Matrix Reloaded already I'd do the two for $20, get two copies of The Matrix, sell them off and keep the ticket. That'd almost be like seeing the movie for free!

I picked up The Shining and Full Metal Jacket in the 2 for $20 deal today. They had a full display right when you walked in the store, which saved alot of aisle pushing and hunting. I'm going back later this week to get 2001 and Empire of the Sun. Gotta love a good deal!

NotaNumber,
All the '5 for $30' are listed on Bestbuy.com for $6.00 each so you don't have to buy all 5. Also all the '2 for $20' are listed for $10.00 each. BB often does this online with these deals. They also have free shipping. I take advantage of these if I only want an odd number of discs.

Edit: As pointed out above, Full Metal Jacket does appear at bestbuy.com as $15, not $10.
