I'm happy I waited on picking up 28 Days Later. Black Friday is a fun day, went out last year, hopefully some store will have a dvd burner for an insane deal.

Some good deals on DVD. Hopefully they got good CD prices so my mom can get me good gifts for cheap (not that she'll go out).

I see a few titles I want, but I don't want to deal with the insane crowds of hot, sweaty humanity. It seems like the crowds grow bigger every year too.

But thanks for posting it. I may change my mind and go.

Not a bad set of deals at all...but nothing for me, thanks. All that stuff on those lists which I'd want, I already got at previous bargains.

I think there will be a LOT of disappointment that titles like Indy, Sleeping Beauty, Scarface, and Looney Tunes aren't on that list! Yeah, a couple of 'em could be construed as "Family Titles", but I bet at most LT is all they'll let you get away with.

I'll probably stay home on Black Friday. I might even have to work...I'm not sure yet.

FYI, Best Buy is going to have these removed from the site. They've already done it over at DVD Talk. For some reason, they don't want these leaked.

I'd only really want to get a few of the $11.99 titles, so I think I'll sleep in that morning.

Nothing that really intrigues me on the 5 for $25 deal, and I've got all of the titles selling for $11.99 that I want already. Maybe some other store will have a nice bargin on something I still need to pick up.

However, I do know some friends who will probably jump for Chicago at that price so I will let them know. Thanks for posting these prices!

Re: Best Buy Deals for Thanksgiving

[11.99 each]
Charlies Angels: Full Throttle
28 Days Later
The Simpsons Season 1

5 for $25 deal
Spaceballs
Wall Street
Patton
A Fistful of Dollars
For a Few dollars more

That would probably be what I get if I do go. There are many reasons as to why I would/would not go:

1. A Krispy Kreme Donut Shop just opened less than a half mile from the Best Buy, making it much easier to stand outside when you are giving yourself a delicious heartattack.
2. The electronics or computer periphs may be better or outstanding deals, if so, then I will stand outside for those and then pick these DVDs up at the same time.
3. I think maybe it becomes and addictive challange just to get in on the bedlam.
4. I'd like to finish out my "Man With No Name" trilogy, and I figure why not do so now and knock Patton off of my AFI list.
5. I hear so many great things about this 28 Days, and for $12, it could be worth it.

I just wish that there had been some slightly better deals. I mean, I remember the first one of these I hit up I was able to pick up Fight Club 2Disc, Se7en 2Disc, Jordan to the MAX and I believe one other disc for dirt cheap. I guess the fact that I own alot of these discs bums me out. It would have been nice to see some I don't own, but I do not fault Best Buy for that Maybe with Circuit City I'll have better luck.

I have to be to work at 7:30 that day, so I might as well go in before work and hopefully avoid some of the crowd.

So, on that note.

$11.99
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle

5 for $25
Ronin
Road House
The Good, the bad and the Ugly
A Fistful of Dollars
For a Few dollars more

Can someone tell me if the individual versions of The Man With No Name Trilogy are the same as the boxset?

There's a new Best Buy here that is pretty detached from anything else, so it shouldn't be to bad on that day.

The Simpsons Season 1 for $11.99 is to good to pass up.

Last year, I went to a Black Friday sale for my first time ever, and I couldn't even find a parking spot in the lot. I almost got into 2 car accidents that morning, with other crazy drivers zipping around the parking lot trying to find the non-existent open spot.

And the line of people waiting outside the store looked like the E-ticket ride at Disneyland.

It's just not worth the few bucks to save, especially if I get into a car accident.

I'll never go to another Black Friday sale again in my lifetime.

If you guys don't wan't to deal with the crowds take the ad to Blockbuster and pricematch the deals. I'm sure not many people will be there that early and not many will think of that.

5 for $25 deal
Cast Away
Say Anything
Spaceballs
Kiss of the Dragon
and something else...

But nothing REALLY just jumps out at me, so it's unlikely I'll go. I hate this Black Friday...

For some reason?
Best Buy doesn't want the competitors to know what they're up to on Black Friday. Circuit City feels the same way. I am sure that all the other retailer feel the same way. They're not providing these sales because they love us...they are trying to make a profit.

Which leads me to my next question, kramer2k3, where do you get this info. Not only do you reveal Best Buy info early on a regular basis, but you have also done the same for Cicuit City.

Now I work at a Circuit City, and I don't see what's coming on sale until right before it happens (ie, if I'm lucky, I might see the sales ad 30 minutes before the store closes), and I'll see what in my department is going to be on sale a little bit earlier, because I will have to change the tags on those items before I go home for the night.

What blockbuster do you go to. I didn't know that blockbuster pricematch. I have a brother that works at blockbuster and he said that they do not pricematch, because they are in the business of renting and not selling DVD's. They are only selling DVDs to give people and easy way of buying DVDs and not have to fight the crowds like at Walmart, Target, Best Buy and other retail services. They said that the only deal that they have is Buy 2 already been viewed DVD's and get one free, but that is not a only at Friday deal.

Does he work in a franchised-out store or a chain-owned store? I believe the pricematch policy mentioned above is for chain stores, and that franchise stores are not obligated to honor it.

If you don't want to fight anyone for those deals that day, but are still going to BB for those deals. Yoou should do what I did. I went there yesterday with the list of those DVDs on sale and bought all the ones I wanted. ( I cleaned them out of Simpsons S1) and I'm going to come back on Friday morning. While everyone is fighting for those DVDs on the floor, like a lake full of piranas. I'll stroll up to customer service and get the price difference for what I paid for them on Tuesday.

Thank You very mich Kramer.
