I was in Circuit City and saw that they had HUGE bins full of The Santa Clause 2 and Terminator 3 (I talking like 300 copies each). My best guess is that CC is planning on moving alot of those titles, and cheap by the looks of it.

When I was in Best Buy, I saw that they had a bunch of all the DVD's mentioned in the Best Buy thread as well as a few more. I saw that they had a bunch of the Scarface Ultimate box sets, as well as Indiana Jones, and the Lord of the Rings:The TT Gollum box sets. The week before they had only 4 of the previous, but now they had about 30 of each right in the middle of the store.

Anything's probable. If it sounds too good to be true, then it's probably wrong. I make no guarantees about any of that.

I recommend that people check the ads that come in the mail and newspapers to verify these things. The only ad I've seen so far is the Wal-Mart one, and it seems to match up to what is in the thing I posted. I didn't go line-by-line in it, but when I saw that the $79 Gamecube system w/Zelda disc was accurate, and the DVDs matched both what I listed and what Tharapper listed, so I figure it's okay. Can't say much about the other stores, though.

I'd hurry if you want those special deals, though. $12 DVD player...maybe. But, like a $79 Gamecube, I expect the stores to stock maybe 25-50 copies of each and not much more than that.

Hey I got up this morning to look at the adds. It looks like Best buy has the best buy for a DVD player the name is JMW. It is for 19.99 after a 20.00 rebate. They say in the add they only have 48 per store. As for me I am going to have Walmart match the 11.99 Chicago because that is one of the movies my mom wants for Christmas, and I am going to pick up 11.00 Bend it Like Bechham for a friend while I am there. My brother is going to take advantage of the 79.44 game cube for our Dad. Then I am going to Best Buy about 10am to get the new Kid Rock CD for 7.99 for me. I hope they have some copies left. Have you guys ever seen that new DVD board game they were advertising in CC add Sunday. Has anyone played it. If you did tell me what you thought of it. Because I may pick that up Friday at CC.

I saw nothing that really caught my eye for tomorrow. Expect $11.00 for "The Lion King" DVD at Wal*Mart, if I can get there -- I'll defintly pick that up. Besides that there is nothing that I can't get a Circuit City after 12:00 PM, I'll be there for the $9.99 CDs!

On FatWallet, I'm pretty sure the verdict is that that Target ad listed above is bogus.

Someone made it up to fool the community.
There is no Snow White for $6.99, or DVD player for $12, or Finding Nemo for $9.99

And if you're looking for Chicago or Lion King, the best price is Toys 'R Us for only $9.99.

It wasn't that bad, I got there 10 min b4 it opened and there ws a huge line! But I still got what I wanted (Just The Simpsons Season 1 & 28 Days Later) and the line out was super quick. Ok gtg hit up Wallgreens now

I never go out for Black Friday, but the deals at Best Buy were too cool to pass up. I woke up at 5:00am and got in line (the line was HUGE!), my friend leaped in and grabbed an X-Box and Halo (he also got the Halo 2 demo!). I walked in and went to the DVD section and grabbed Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, The Good the Bad and The Ugly, and For a Fist Full of Dollars. But there was no For a Few Dollars More, then the lady working in DVD's said that ALL of the DVD's featured in the "5 for $25" deal were in a big bargain bin in the front of the store. So I walked over and saw fucking maggots swarming into the bin and grabbing whatever they could, I swooped in and fought my way though to get For a Few Dollars More. I was a happy man. I grabbed the new Korn album and headed into line, which was ALL the way to the back of the store and it then looped through a few isles and then a straight line. While standing in line for 30 min I grabbed 28 Days Later and Charlies Angels: Full Throttle (both $11.99) due to staring at both for 7 min each. Finally when I got to the register the girl was an idiot and I told her that she needs to change the prices so I can see what the total is (I lied, I didnt need to see it). So the poor girl started changing the five DVD's to $5 each, and she also changed 28 Days Later to $5!!. So I got a pretty damn good haul, I also picked up Need For Speed Underground, but that was $49.99.

So was it a pain in the ass? Yes. Will I do it again next year? Hell yes. What do I regret not grabbing, even though I stood standing at it for 7 min? Indiana Jones Collection and The Simpsons: The Complete First Season.

I hate commerce.

i slipped in at around 9 on the way to work. Bought just Wall Street for me and 9 for my parents () .. their DVD collection is below pathetic.

the majority of the discs were in a big bin but they were also on the shelves where you normally find them ... real handy because a few titles (2 of the three Man with No Name DVDs) weren't in there.

the checkout line was huge... it snaked through three CD aisles... but one clerk came and picked a few of us out of the back of the line and whisked us to the home theater register (could only take credit cards). Was in and out in 15 minutes.

You guys are lucky, I went to 2 Best Buys and none of them had Simpsons Season 1 around. I ended up going to Toys R Us to see if they had it so I could get it priced match, and no luck. Instead I picked up Lion King and Sleeping Beauty. Headed to Walmart (first time going in my life) they didn't have it either but got myself the Spider-Man Collector's set for $21. What caught me by surprise was that they had Pirates Of The Caribbean. It was $19.84 though. I was surprised to see it since I had already gone to Target, Circuit City, Best Buy and Toys R Us and none of those stores had it yet. I was going to get the 5 for $25 movies but I didn't want to spend about 1 hr in line just for that. Plus you can purchase them online for the same deal from bb.com.
