Yes it is $3 off the already marked price. I bought the Haunting (used) marked at $14.99 for $3 off for an end charge of $11.99 (plus tax). Picked up This is Spinal Tap for $13.99 after the $3 discount. This discount works for any of the above mentioned items with a minimum price of $9.99. Which coincidentally is what they're selling Sleepy Hollow for...

I checked my local Blockbuster. They had about six titles, I already had all of them.

It might be worth your while to check other Blockbusters, since each store's selection comes from it's own stock. You may do better elsewhere...

I run one of those stores myself, and we have PLENTY of DVD's marked down for sale. The secret is to find the stores that have been around for a long time, or that are in more affluent neighborhoods. The old stores have to make more room for new discs by selling off used ones, and the "rich" stores have more DVD customers, which means they get more copies of new titles, and also need to make room. (My store is in the latter group - not much business, but it's almost ALL in DVD rentals.)

Also, if there's one you want, and they have several copies for rental, there's no harm in asking us to transfer it out for you. If your local manager is anything like me, they'll want to end up with the smallest number of rental copies possible, especially on movies that are older than 6 months.
