TV Shows New Release Web Site

Wuz up,

Hey a friend of mine knows that I love to get TV shows on DVD. So he gave me this web site that shows you when some of them are going to be out and also lets you try to vote on the ones that you would like to be releases and how they are released. So I thought I would pass it on to you. You might know about this, but if you don't now you do!!!!

TV Shows on DVD

Have a great day,
Tharapper

I'm pretty sure that the guy who runs that site either was or still is a member of this board.

That is a great site and has been a fantastic resource. In fact, it has become the clearing house for all info and announcements. Video Store Magazine gave that site it's own page as their reporting is nearly as fast and as good as anyone elses.

It is indeed a great site that gets mentioned/ linked to/ applauded regularly around here.

That said, since they don't actually sell DVDs, I'm not sure they'd be considered a "Bargain".

Wuz up,

Sorry I didn't mean to get off the thread. I just thought it was a good site so people will know what is going to be out then they could look for bargains from there. I will try to stick with the thread next time.

Have a great Day,
tharapper

No sweat tharapper, and I don't think Marq was giving you a hard time about it. I think he just meant that this thread would be better posted in SOFTWARE or TEST & OFF TOPIC. It is just an organizational thing, no big deal.

Tharapper, I gotta agree that this belongs over in software, rather than bargains. In fact, the thread will probably get moved there, or just closed. I'm always talking about TVShowsOnDVD in that section; you would think that the site pays me! But they don't! I do like to pass along here some of the things posted there that excite me personally (or maybe just to answer someone's question about their favorite show).

Marq's right, the site doesn't sell DVDs themselves. They do link to Amazon, Amazon Canada, DVDEmpire, and DVDPlanet (and sometimes to VideoClicks of Canada), so you can buy DVDs easily. If you buy through those links, then they get a referral fee. Just like DVDFile's main page has links to Amazon, and they get a referral fee if you use them. Same with The Digital Bits, Animated Bliss, and lots of other places. It's the online retailers' way of getting advertising on the cheap, and only having to pay for actual sales generated. It's invisible to consumers, so the prices don't change and I'm sure no consumer info is collected, either.

As such, it's only a bargain if you find that the online retailer happens to have the best price in any case. Then you can get there via the links and help support your favorite site(s).
