Some interesting boxsets at Costco
Doing some last minute shopping at Costco this morning. The lot was full but lines were short.
Anyway: Alien Quad: $61.xx (sorry I don't remember the exact cents but it was $61 something) $39.99 for 4 disc sets from Warner Bros. I didn't have a pen with me so from memory: Best of the 40s - The Big Sleep, The Maltese Falcon, Adam's Rib, Mildred Pierce Best of the 60s Best Romances Best SciFi - 2001: a space odyssey Best Musicals - Music Man, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers are the ones I remember. Titles I remember but not the set: LA Confidential, Dirty Harry, Perfect Storm... Darn, wish I took a pen and notepad. I bought the 40's set which I why I know the complete titles. Was just at my Costco for Christmas shopping Monday. They indeed had the cheap Quadrilogy at, I believe, $61.99. They also had those "Best of" sets which are repackagings of existing DVDs. Plus they had restocked their Indiana Jones supply...they had far more widescreen than fullscreen available at this moment.
They also still had maybe a dozen or so of the Disney Treasure Chests at $124.99 containing the first two waves of Disney Treasures, sans tin packaging.
