used DVDs?
I'm looking for good places to buy used DVDs. Online, chain stores, or local to Portland Oregon. Here's what I've found so far:
Django's (local store): poor selection of used titles, overpriced Electronic Boutique: poor selection, not very good prices Babbages: absolutely PATHETIC selection Wherehouse: decent selection, but overpriced. Pawn shops: the few that I've checked didn't have ANY. Blockbuster: haven't looked yet. There's also a place in Lake Oswego (where I work) that has a fair selection, but I forgot the name of it. Just bought Saving Private Ryan there for $15. Does anyone know good places to look? |

Blockbuster is a good place, especially when you hit them at the right time -- times when they put $3 off their pre-viewed selection. I got Sleepy Hollow for $7. Generally can get pre-viewed for $10-$15. Their prices for new discs isn't too special, though.
I personally haven't seen much in the way of used DVD in B&M stores besides the rental chains, but then again, I don't spend much time in B&M stores. ------------------ My DVD List |

Yeah, I just got Pee Wee's Big Adventure at Blockbuster for $15. You can get it for $13 new online, but when you consider shipping costs, it's pretty much the same (and I get to see it tonight
). I went to Hollywood Video also and their prices were just disgusting. If anyone's in the Portland area, I also checked out CD & Game Exchange on SE 36th and Hawthorne. Decent selection, fair prices. |

Like I said, this really belongs in the Bargain area.
