HOT!!! Costco AMAZING Box Set Prices (good through Christmas Eve)

These prices are, I'm told, good through close of business at Costco (in store only, not online) on Christmas Eve (12/24...6PM that day for most of their warehouses).

There may not be in-store signing, I'm told. And a price check won't verify the sale price. You must "buy" the item for the automatic discount to kick in, in most cases. But, according to info at "another forum" where members are verifying this left and right, here are the prices (I'll try it on the way home tonight, if my wife doesn't kill me for ruining my Christmas suprises that is):

$41.99 Alien Quadrilogy!!!
$34.99 Indiany Jones Complete Adventures
$19.99 each: Fox Animated Series (Simpsons, King Of The Hill, Family Guy, Futurama)
$24.99 each: Fox TV-on-DVD (Buffy (note: except for S5), 24, Angel, NYPD Blue, Mary Tyler Moore, Shield, etc.)
$16.99 each: Box Sets for Farrelly Bros., Paul Newman, World War II, Schwarzenegger, etc.
$10.99-$12.99 each: various Fox 2-Packs (example: Barton Fink and Miller's Crossing)

I presume that if you recently purchased something there already, you can take your receipt to customer service and get the difference back. I will try this, if nothing else, because that's a $20 difference on Alien Quad!

Those are some amazing prices. I just wish they had a store I could get to during working hours. Closest one is about an hour away, and there is no way I'm fighting through x-mas traffic, not even for those deals.

That's amazing
Now why wouldn't the price check say the correct price? that doesn't make any sense.

Apparently the discount is actually applied at the point where the transaction is totaled out, and not before. Like Best Buy's bundle deals...except this isn't a bundle deal, and no coupon is needed.

Costco

Hope they still have some Simpsons left when I go there tomorrow. Wished I could go today but I don't have a membership. Co-worker does have a membership and invited me to go with him tomorrow. Just hope they don't run out of Simpsons. Does anyone know if they offer a free one day membership?

It must have been fate interfearing when I thought I ordred the Alien Quad from DDD with their 20% off cupon, but didn't. That's a superb deal and nows my time to get the family Guy boxes! This is so exciting!

So I just want to ask this to be sure, the deal is from when they open to closing @ 6?

THE SALE IS ON *RIGHT NOW*, and continues each day from open to close, until they end of business on Christmas Eve.

I was very ill (nauseous) on the way home last night, so I didn't stop by there after all. I have a short day at work today, so I'll be there to get this deal right afterward.

Very tempting. However I know how they package the Simpson's and I know there will be a big dent on the bottom of sleeve and I also know what the holiday crowds are like. Even with a business membership which allows me in one hour before the regular members it can be a total zoo.

The only one-day membership available is if you have a gift certificate or cash/gift card.

You might be able to sneak into the store but if you don't have a membership card you cannot make purchases.

Got AQ for $41.99 and also got four TV-DVD sets for $24.99 each: Shield S1, NYPD Blue S1, NYPD Blue S2, and Dark Angel S1 (they were out of DA S2). A great deal, and extra presents for everyone (including me!)

Yeah I just got AQ too, I looked high and low for Family Guy but they didn't seem to have any, which is too bad.

Aside from the pricing, does anyone know if that "Miller's Crossing"/"Barton Fink" two-pack exists outside Costco? I just dropped twelve bucks on "Miller's", but wouldn't mind getting a two-fer if it's only a few dollars more...

It's just as well I didn't brave the crowds it then. I went the Friday before and the pickings were rather slim at the Costco I went to. Not many AQs either.

I only worked a half day Weds and drove by the warehouse near where I was working and the line of cars to get into the lot stretched for a block and a half. Forget that!
