Star Wars Trilogy for 30 bucks!

if there is a GameStop in your area they will take ANY 3 of yoru dvds and put you on the list and you get the set for 30 bucks* i was gonna cash in on their 3 dvds and get starsky and hutch for free but i missed out. good thing they have this deal cause normally i would barely get 9 bucks for my 3 dvds (robocop II, III, and Jackie Chan in The Medalion) instead i got basically 20 bucks in credit towards the set so check it out

Not a bad deal if you've got unwanted DVDs in your collection. Seeing as this may be the top selling DVD set this year, chances are the other major retailers will offer competitive prices and/or bonus offers to lure prospective buyers, e.g. FYE is currently offering the Trilogy for pre-order at $34.99.

Right now, I'm thinking either Best Buy or Suncoast for the films. Best Buy for the reasons of likely price and possible bonus disc (ala Indiana Jones) and Suncoast because they are offering a litho.

If this set is selling for $35 - $40 without the trade-in offer, I'm content with paying full price. Beside that, I don't think I have three discs I want to part with right now.

There is a music and movie store in a mall close to were I live I forgot the name of it but there offering the trilogy for $34 and there higher than every body else so I'm assuming walmart and target may have this set for $25-$28.

As an FYI for those with Media Play outlets nearby, "R2D2: Beneath The Dome" is in the 50% off clearance bins as we speak; new price should be ~$4.50 + tax (seeing as the regular store price was $8.99)

I orderd mine from FYE for 35.00 which is after a mail in rebate. If you don't have discs to trade in, check out FYE. It is the best deal on the set I have seen so far.

I don't have 3 to give away right now at this point. I'd also rather wait to see if there will be any extras offered at other stores before I commit to something like this.
