Blockbuster online deal
okay, so here's the skinny on this online service...Their plan is identical to Netflix...at first. I tried out the 2 week free trial, and was NOT incredibly happy with the 3 day turn-around for shipping. I canceled the service prior to the end of the 2 week free trial. Afterwards, I received an email saying I should re-think the decision. To persuade me to re-join, they offered to DROP the price of the monthly membership...
3 out-at-a-time for 3 months @17.99/month. After 3 months, the price returns to $19.99. Not too shabby. But wait... 3 out-at-a-time for 6 months @15.99/month. After 6 months, the price returns to $19.99. Not bad at all I assume the only difference is that you need to commit to 6 vs. 3 months to get the better deal. anyway, thought I'd pass it along. Try them out, and if they ship faster than 3 days to your doorstep, it's worth the $15.99. To get the deal, just cancel the service before the free trial is up. When you cancel, you don't lose your login information or your queue for 6 months - so re-joining is no hassle. |

Thanks for the heads-up, Videoworx. I've considered joining up as soon as I can get through my current backlog of unwatched movies.
