They just changed their availability status to "Usually ships in 3 to 6 days". I'm glad I got in early, they are processing mine right now.
I ordered Millennium S1.

Contrary to what I said in the Millenium thread, I ordered it as well. I figured this... I can give the series another chance, and perhaps enjoy it. If I don't (or I don't like it enough for repeat value) then I can probably resell it at a profit either on eBay or my local used store.

Millennium Season 1 is no longer $14.99, but $49.18. The other sets should start following suit soon. So hurry up.

any season sets that go for 38.99 - 68.99 is worth 14.99 in my opinion.

you can always keep it sealed also... then say it was a gift and return it for store credit at walmart.....

That's precisely what I'm doing. 2 orders, each with 2 copies of 24 season 1. I keep one for myself, and then return the other 3 to local Wal Marts, and I basically get the one set of 24 and season 1 of The Wire for free. Normally I'd just do 3 copies, but it limits it to 2 per order, and so I need to do 4 total to get free shipping on everything.

I would make a statement about the lack of morals around here... but what would be the point? Anyway... one word... low.

Morals? Fuck that. In a world where companies do anything they can to get ahead, including firing people days before retirement, stealing their pensions, exploting tax loopholes and destroying the environment, you expect individuals to feel bad about using a loophole of their own every now and then to beat the system?

And really, what does it matter what you paid for the item? You are returning a perfectly sellable item, unopened and authentic, for an item of equal value to the store. The store can resell the item it took back in return, or they can send it back to the manufacturer for credit. Either way, although the item in question wasn't actually purchased at Walmart, it was bought and paid for. There is nothing too far on the 'morally questionable' side going on here.

I didn't say it was like killing babies or anything... just a little low, in my opinion, but hey it's not like I haven't done the same on occasion. I got two copies of a game in once from one internet order... I waited to make sure I was charged for just one, then I "returned" the other to walmart... that's actually worse... so yeah, I ain't throwing stones... just saying. Everybody doesn't have to be moral angels, but it's good to realize when you're bending the rules a bit...

Okay then take your DVDs to Wal-Mart and tell them this...

"Hi, I bought these from an entirely different company, unrelated to yours in every way. I would like to give you these DVDs in exchange for the value at which you sell them for, if in fact you even do."

...and see what they tell you. If they are cool with it then you go boy!

I guess you wouldn't approve of the 'price match'* I did at Best Buy either then.

* Took the new deluxe Shawshank Redemption set to customer service ($35.99 BB) and told them Walmart was selling it for $25 (lie.) Customer service called Walmart to confirm the price, and the dolt on the other end of the line gave them the price of the regular SE ($19.98). BB matched that price for me, thinking it was the deluxe set, and I felt grand.

I ordered "Millennium" immediately after I saw this thread and guess what, I just received it this morning! Amazon never ceases to amaze me with their better than expected shipping duration. And I chose the Super saver option too.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal!

The Simpsons and Buffy I have seen at circuit for 11.99 during the X-Mas season last year, so I expect you can find those there. As for the other one, its an amazing deal. Now there is no excuse not to see 24 Season 1. Even if you find yourself not liking it after watching, you could easily make up the cost by selling it.

I've seen people do that before. They didn't say that, but they'd return a whole bunch of shit, and the cashier would look at the reciept and say "this item isn't on there" and the person responded "oh, that must go with the stuff from target" and the cashier rang it up anyway and said it was in the system and that she could return it there if she wanted.
