Yeah, I just realized that. Besides, Wal-Mart is one of those stores that has the retarded policy that brick & mortar stores and the .com stores are seperate, don't honor each others deals, can't return shit from one at the other, ect.

I think I'll make a trip to Wal-Mart. I just have to be sneaky about it and find a creative way to hide the bag without my mom hearing the crinkly sound. I want the season set of In Living Color but wasn't willing to pay full price for it. Why the price cut though? I'm not complaining or anything. Just curious.

Think about it in the 'drug dealer analogy.' Most of these series have, or hope to have, many volumes. So you get your first taste cheaply, and they hope to get you hooked enough to get the rest of the run. I think it is a great idea, I just wish I hadn't bit on King Of The Hill, Simpsons, and Futurama early on at full price.

Another example, the old Time/Life books, videos, CDs - "Get your first volume for only $9.99. Each additional volume will cost you full price. Collect the entire set!"

That's an interesting way to put it. But then again it sounds right. You know the same thing happened when they started releasing seasons of The Osbournes and Punk'd on DVD. Once I bought one at full price, I had to buy all the seasons (even though there's only two seasons on DVD for both shows.)
