Which version of Body Snatchers, the original or the '78 Philip Kaufman remake?

Anyhoo, it's probably a moot point, as money is tight right now.

Dunno, I also don't know which Prophecy it is, but I assume it's the Walken.

Really? I'm thinking that it's the Frankenheimer mercury-in-the-water schlock-fest from the 70s.

You are probably correct as many of these are Paramounts and so is this. If this is the case I am definitely getting it!

I'm not much of a horror fan, but I did take advantage of this week's BB 2 for $20 to grab Hitchcock's The Birds and Psycho: CE.

Can't wait to watch the Birds. Haven't seen it in probably 30 years and my wife has never seen it.

Jeepers Creepers is the most underrated horror film in recent memory.
VERY solid. Ignore the name.

i thought the R1 was non-anamorphic? and no extras? at least in r4 we get trailers, some featurette or b-roll crap that i watched once and a 16:9 transfer...

i really wish rodriguez would do a commentary for this.

Also, just to let you know, there is a problem over at bestbuy.com that, instead of doing it in groups of three, it does it for at least three. One you get up to three, anything else you add from that list will be 6.66 as well. So I got 5 instead of 6. I am so...EVIL!!!!!!

Sold some used DVDs this week, so it looks like I'll have enough left over to grab The Omen, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (Kaufman version) and Rosemary's Baby. Blind buys on the latter two, but for these prices, who cares?

It's still non-anamorphic. This disc really needs some work in the video and audio areas.....surrounds just didnt kick in a whole lot.
Hope a special edition is in the works.

You won't be disappointed. The film still holds up incredibly well and doesn't feel dated in the least. Among the best work ever done by Mia Farrow and director Roman Polanski, and John cassavetes proves to be a really interesting actor to watch.

I picked up the following earlier this week...

April Fool's Day
Poltergeist
Prophecy
Rosemary's Baby
Scanners
Species - SE

Not bad for just over $40 after tax. Plus I got some extra points on the RZ card.

It's neat to see more of the creeper, but they lost the best part of the first movie, which was the solid relationship and give-and-take between the brother and sister.

I watched Rosemary's Baby tonight, and absolutely loved it. Everything lar says is dead-on. Best $6.66 I ever spent. I also bought...

-The Omen

-Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (another kick-ass blind buy )

-Don't Look Now

-The Hitcher

-Jacob's Ladder

Blind buys on all but The Omen, but if the rest turn out as good as Baby and Snatchers, I will be one happy mouse.
