$10 rebate on Lost: Season 1

I just posted this in the Weekly RoundUp, but thought I would also give it its own thread in case people had already checked the RoundUp for the week and wouldn't be checking back. Also, this rebate is good until 12/31/05...so you've got plenty of time to take advantage of this most excellent deal!

"LOST" REBATE ALERT!!!

You can print the $10 rebate form on copies of Lost: Season 1 at THIS PAGE.

As you can see from the below graphic, all you need to do is purchase 3 boxes of Orville Redenbacher popcorn. You DO need to include your original receipt for Lost: Season 1 and one DVD proof-of-purchase. You also need to include the three proofs-of-purchase from the popcorn boxes and the rebate form which is available in .pdf form at the above link. Offer expires 12/31/05.

Me thinks the three boxes of popcorn would offset the $10 savings. Maybe, not though.

Yeah, I think a box of popcorn goes for about $3, so after you buy three of them you're almost even. Of course, if you were buying popcorn anyway or like the stuff, then it's probably a good deal for you. A better deal for me is the coupon on the back of the Best Buy Lost bonus disc that gives you $10 off Desperate Housewives S1.

Well, sure. If you don't want the popcorn...its no bargain.

We'd be buying it anyway at our house so the rebate is truly a bonus.

If you wait for sale prices, you can get the Orville Redenbacher popcorn for as low as $1.50-2.00 each.

I have no want or need of microwave popcorn, not having a microwave (by choice). I wish Orville Redenbaucher (sp?) made pre-made popcorn, but they do not. Assholes. Usually I end up with the Wal-Mart Snackbar popcorn, since no one seems to carry pre-popped popcorn anymore.

Moog, why not get Jiffy Pop (assuming you have a stove-top to cook it on)?

That shit always tastes burnt to me, for some reason... Maybe I just don't do it right. Anyway, I really like the pre-popped stuff... I like it cold, for some reason, you just can't find it anywhere.

Make a friend who works at a movie theater. Some places just throw theirs out, and it is by far the best pre-popped corn around.

I work in a grocery store and unless you buy OR popcorn on a regular basis thats not a deal worth going out and getting. The 3 boxes of popcorn will probably run you between $7.50 and $9 including tax, then theres the postage so theres a good chance it's more effort than its worth.

Why not just shoplift the Lost disc itself and the popcorn. Then you come out $10 ahead after the rebate.

There's that pesky receipt that you need for Lost that stands in the way.

Postal workers would eat it. "Holy moly that smells like popcorn!" they'd all exclaim. Say goodbye to Moogle's shipment of popcorn.

you can buy popcorn balls at Wal-Mart....saw them in the Halloween candy aisle. It was a big box for 4 bucks or so. I think it was Act III brand.
