The Specials **BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! Fever PitchAND Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy are available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one! --Well, things have calmed down since last week’s blockbuster release week! However, some notes: The 3-disc SE of Chicago seems to have been pulled from this week’s expected release. Also, all Red Sox fans should take note of the alternate release of the movie Fever Pitch. It is called the Boston Red Sox Reversed Curse Edition and features a longer cut of the film and some different extras. Also there are some new combo deals which are being made available this week. I have not included them in the RoundUp table itself because they do not appear to be new releases, but some of you may still be interested. They include: I Know What You Did Last Summer/I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, La Bamba/The Buddy Holly Story and Soccer Dog/Soccer Dog: European Cup. And, I also included in this week’s RoundUp two films which seem to have conflicting release dates: Branded (9/27) and Carlito’s Way: Ultimate Edition (9/27). There is a chance they may show up in stores this week…or maybe not for another week or two. --For anyone who did NOT get their copy of Lost: Season 1 last week, Circuit City is offering a deal in which you buy Lost: Season 1 and get $5 off any CD. Purchases must be on same receipt. In-store only. --Also, for those who bought Lost: Series 1 at Best Buy to get the bonus disc and the $10 coupon to use on Desperate Housewives: Season 1 should know that it looks like that deal is about to get even better! Thanks as always for the roundup! You might want to add a (1982) after Alone in the Dark, less people mistakenly think it's the crappy 2005 film. Looks like Ben-Hur, the Director’s Label Box Set and Las Vegas S2 for me this week. I might pick up Hitchhiker's Guide, though I wasn't too impressed with the translation to film. The BBC version was better.

Bummer. I was hoping for a good deal on Las Vegas S1 & S2 package deal. Looks like I might have to wait for S3 to come out for the package.

My CC really sucks. They never got in The Sting, Deer Hunter or To Kill a Mockingbird last week. I had to go to Target to get the Sting. I just called them & they are not getting in Ben Hur (I could tell the girl in the dvd dept. hadn't even heard of it) nor are they getting in the Red Sox Collector's Edition of Fever Pitch. I guess I'll be getting them from Bestbuy.com (don't have a BB near me & they'll be too high everywhere else. IF anybody else even gets them). I'll get Hitchiker's Guide from bb.com too (might as well save about $3-4 worth of gas since 2 of 3 purchases won't even be available. Our CC is SUPPOSED to be one of their superstores, too. That's a laugh.
