The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

I'll be picking up the Star Trek: Nemesis SE, but probably not much else. I want the Hitchcock set and others, but I'll have to hold off. Too bad I'll miss the Fly/Fly 2 2 for $20 deal...

Jesus, this is going to be expensive this week. Drawn Together Season 1 is a definite get, and I will end up picking up Gilmore Girls Vol 1+2 for my girlfriend... along with Cinderella.

Is Robot Jox that old old movie with the guys fighting in the huge mech like suits? If so, ill probably get that too, cheesy scifi rules!

In any event, thanks for the roundup as always!

Star Trek: Nemesis is the only certain purchase. Wild Palms, maybe. Other than that, yet another easy and cheap weekend.

I'll definitely be picking up the Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection and Cinderella at Best Buy (with a Circuit City price match on the latter), and maybe The Fly if I can afford it. Alfred Hitchcock Presents will likely have to wait.

Just Cinderella for me. Yeah, that's right. Cinderella. Wanna make something of it?

Although I did put The Fly on my Amazon wishlist.

Finally, Cinderella for me. I'm not quite certian where -- Best Buy has the best freebie, but I'm not a Reward Zone member so I can't get it; on the other hand, Circuit City is cheapest-priced, but the one closest to here closed. So I dunno.

I will definately not be getting the gift set though. I was a bit disappointed in last year's Aladdin gift set because while it looks nice, too much of it simply repeats what's on the disc and doesn't really take advantage of the printed format to offer something new of additional value. I'm glad to have it because that was for my favorite movie of all time, and while I hold Cinderella dearly too, I'm not about to splurge for what seems to be a nearly-identical set to what disappointed me last year. Not to mention that this is the craziest October I have ever seen -- it just keeps getting busier every year -- and I can't justify spending $40 on a fancy-looking box for Cinderelal when there are other things coming out that I want too. Anyway, if anybody happens to be debating on wheather or not they want to spend $40 for the gift set, check out my review of the Aladdin one at that link to give you a general idea of what to expect inside it.

Also, Walt Disney Records is supposed to be re-releasing the Cinderella CD soundtrack on Tuesday with matching artwork to go with the DVD, and since I don't have that yet, I'm definately thinking of picking it up, but I didn't see it advertised in any of the ads. Strange and disappointing that no store had a combo purchase & save $5 deal or something.

Anyway - end rant, and I'm getting Cinderella. Thanks a lot Freezer!

Mine does. While The Fly II was pretty lame, for only three bucks more than buying the first film alone, I may splurge on it just for the extras.

First off, it only costs ten bucks to become a Reward Zone member, so what's the holdup, Jake? It'll pay for itself within a month or so. Secondly, why not price-match Cinderella by bringing the Circuit City flier to Best Buy? That's what I'm doing.

It was not $39.99 at my nearest Best Buy; they had it for $49.99. But they price matched me against Walmart for $39.05, so even better.
