The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

I plan to get this "Sith" thing everyone's talking about. Probably at Wal-Mart.

Same here, along with Enterprise 4 when I have the money, which could be awhile considering how bad October raped me.

Not sure where I am going to buy ROTS yet. I am an RZ member at BB and I guess I could sell the litho. Then again, @ WAL-MART, I could keep the bonus disc. Plus I am curious about TARGET's "best-of" disc. On another note, BEST BUY's OFFICE SPACE Special Package may be too good to pass up. It comes w/ a ton of stuff and is worth the price I think for a double-dip. I have been waiting for this SE since I bought the original. Plus, OFFICE SPACE was the last movie I saw in theaters at college (University of Wisconsin-Madison; GO BIG RED!) so their is some sentimental value to getting a suped up edition of OFFICE SPACE.

Like most others here, I'm feeling that the Force -- or at least my money -- is with Wal-Mart this week thanks to their bonus disc.

Thanks to the lithograph, I continue to regret not being a Reward Zone member and really would throw $10 at them and sign up for that, but if I did I wouldn't have the money for the DVDs themselves so I'd end up shooting myself in the foot, figuritively speaking, if I were to do that. Though fortunately this week the bonus disc outshines the lithograph anyway so it's not too terrible. I will really have to sign up for RZ some week when I don't have too much else to get (hah), probably sometime next year.

Anyway, thanks Freezer! Your hard work is always appriciated.

I'll probably do the Wal-mart ROTS bonus disc bit as well. I'll go to Best Buy for the rest. Lots of goodies again this week: ROTS, Millions, Office Space SE, Enterprise S4 and War of the Worlds CE.

BTW, the sale last week was for Lindsay Lohan, not Hilary Duff. You might want to correct that less you get attacked by an army of 12 year old girls belonging to one of the two camps.

Too funny. Guess I again show my age by not being able to keep track of my teen starlets.

You don't really have to figure Target into your RotS plans...unless you REALLY want that commemorative coin. That "Best of...' music CD from Eps 1 - 6 IS an exclusive...but its purchase is NOT dependent upon the purchase of the DVD at their store. You can always do that separately.

Yes, true. I noticed that, too. But, also, isn't it fair to assume that if you've got all 6 soundtrack releases already there's probably nothing on the Target CD set that is of any value? I have the soundtracks for Episodes II and III and intend to pick up the others as well soon; therefore, unless Target has bizarrely managed to get rights to include a snippet of music that was left out of the heavily-abriged CD soundtracks for those tow movies (which I personally find highly unlikely), there's nothing much else that their CD can do for you, as all of the original trilogy soundtracks plus Episode I are available in 2-CD uncut releases.

On top of all that, I have the Phantasm box set from R2 hitting me with another $45 on the 31st. Very rough month, usually November is worse, but it doesn't look so bad this year.

Not a Hitchcock fan (though, to be fair, I've never seen any of his films all the way through, so I really can't judge one way or the other). I refuse to pay Paramount's outragous price for the Star Trek sets, and only one of the Burton Batman films is really worth owning. I do want the South Park sets though. So, for me, October wasnt bad at all.

I agree - so with Fry's around, sometimes they come through for a nice PM at BBuy for a bonus disk or Barnes & Noble's B2G1 sales (these last 2 years I have gotten some for around $60 through these -- that I will pay) or special prices (cough..mistakes..cough).

Hoping Fry's comes through again on Enterprise S4 or wait for a good (cough..DDD...cough) sale - as I do not want this S4 bonus disk about Archer's dog (as the feature describes that bonus disk, IMHO).

Well, since I haven't yet seen Star Wars Ep. III (really), I think I'll get that.

In fact, I'll splurge and get the widescreen edition, so I can see all of it at once.

I picked up Sith and the bonus disc from Walmart on the way home last night. For those who haven't gotten it yet, honestly, it's not really worth the few extra dollars. The bonus disc is more or less a Star Wars For Dummies summary of the entire series. There's no behind the scenes stuff or anything. Just lots of clips from the movies telling the story with the droids hosting. So you might want to consider getting Sith from one of the other places that have it cheaper. The extra disc isn't really worth the additional $4 for the Walmart 2 pack.

I haven't picked up many of these freebie bonus discs with titles that I've bought, but of those I have, very rarely have they been worth getting. The only one I thought was worth getting was a freebie with the last James Bond flick, Die Another Day, where the freebie was a TV documentary on the women in the James Bond movies.

I picked up my Revenge of the Sith at Best Buy today, also redeeming 3 of my McDonalds Monopoly/Best Buy bucks, so I picked it up for $11.99.

Worse yet, it only covers five of the films since it was produced before Sith came out. So you don't even get the complete story. They really should have made this a freebe bonus instead of making people pay for it.
