it sounds like they are jacking up the prices for the sale.

Not likely that you'll get NEARLY as good of deals this go round as we did the first couple times, but hopefully people will find something they want at a good price.

Not necessarily --- on many of them I have seen stay the same over the last week or so and some I just checked again today and they were actually LOWER than I had them previously. Yes, some have gone up, that I have been looking at, only 0.50 to $1, some have gone down several $$, like the TJ hooker season set.

Some of the most recent increases are for last week releases that they matched others release week prices and now return to "normal."

Placed an order for the Buffy complete series set through there a little bit ago today with UPS 2nd day shipping.

Can anybody who orders with them normally let me know what to expect? I've never ordered through this particular website.

I'm just wondering stuff like when should I expect the confirmation e-mail, or info on the website showing my order history.

Anybody have problems with them charging and not shipping?

Any help to alleviate my paranoia would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

My dad has ordered with them in the past and had no problems as far as I know.

I just ordered my Buffy set this AM, and it took them about an hour I'd say for the order confirmation email to be sent. Haven't gotten a 'order sent' email yet, but I'd expect that to come tomorrow AM.

I think most online sites, the later in the day you place the order, the longer it might take for all the info (confirmation email, order status on their site) to show up. But that's just my guess.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry.

Got my e-mail order confirmation.

No shipping confirmation yet, but I hope everything goes well.

You really can't beat the price.

I've ordered from them before, as have several people I know. It's been a disaster for everyone. Some of the problems: full frame discs sent instead of widescreen, credit cards charged weeks before the order ships, items listed as being in stock suddenly backordered for months, and in several cases the completely wrong disc being shipped. I refuse to do business with them anymore. It's not worth the hassle to save a few dollars.

My order during the last 20% off sale consisted of 7 discs sent in 5 different shipments, as most titles were out of stock. The last disc sent out arrived 5 weeks after my order was placed.

I got a great deal, and am glad I wasn't in any hurry to receive the discs.

I'll likely place my order in the next couple of days.

Well i wanted to get the Buffy Complete Series set but i sadly don't have enough to get it right now. My car is in the shop and i want an XBOX360 next week. So this is my final order that has been confirmed already (Buffy set that is in the order is for my friend at work who will be paying me in cash for the set)

SCRUBS-2ND SEASON $ 22.31 In-stock
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER-CO $ 111.89 In-stock
GOING MY WAY/HOLIDAY INN $ 7.91 In-stock
BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY $ 16.32 In-stock
OLDBOY $ 11.98 In-stock
CKY TRILOGY-ROUND 1 & 2 $ 7.91 Backorder
VERY LONG ENGAGEMENT, A $ 16.91 In-stock
VERONICA MARS-1ST SEASON $ 33.49 In-stock

Order Total: $233.67

So really with the exchange for my items it came to roughly $150 Cnd. Which is really awesome because its about half of what i would pay in Canadian money for the movies/sets at my local stores with tax included. Just hoping customs doesn't slap any tax on the shipment when its sent, but still i saving a shitload of money.

Maybe next time i can go a little wild on my purchses

Up until the last sale, I would have fully disagreed with you, however last sale was somewhat of a disaster for me. I had several discs come in scratched, however never received the wrong disk. One of my Star Trek Collector's disk looked like it was opened before and then re-sealed because the disks were floating around. Their customer service was great about exchanging the discs with no hassle. Some of their items do take a bit longer to get if they are out of stock, but you have to realize that several thousand orders are being placed at DDD because of people from FW, Dvdtalk, here and other deals sites posting about it.

Normally, they are just as good as any other dvd site with their dvds. Stuff seems to ship earlier for new releases so you get them closer to release date, compared to amazon or something that ships the day it comes out.
