The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Well, I would have bought the Star Trek Ultimate Collection set if it was $2,499.95, but $2,499.99 is just too much! Nothing too exciting this week for me. Wow, Love at Stake! That's a film I haven't seen in ages. I might pick it up for the hell of it. I probably will pick up Friends S10 as well just to complete the collection, but it's not a high priority. I already have the original Sound of Music set so I'll pass on the double dip. Looks like a slow week this week before all hell breaks loose in December.

I had wanted to get Oprah, but I've already seen The Black Hole. The hills will be alive this week. Maybe.

I think the important question is: is the joke cheaper at Amazon, Best Buy or Circuit City? And does Target even stock it at all?

Which bonus disc should I go for on Stealth? Best Buys or Circuit Cities? Plus, will Stealth even be a good blind buy?

Certainly doesn't look like a movie I would buy without seeing... but then, so few are.

Yeah I hate buying blind, but it looks like an ok movie, plus it's supposed to have insane air battles in DTS, so I think it's worth a shot.

I saw Stealth in the theater. If you're into mindless action scenes with no plot, this film is for you. But I certainly wouldn't sit through it again.

Yeah I know. See I have a place i can rent it, where they open a new copy and rent it to me, and if I like it, I can buy it with the rental price deducted. Trouble is, it will be $19.99 there, plus no bonus disc. Decisions, decisions...

Compared to say... Con Air, how mindless are we talking? I liked Con Air, but thats about as mindless as I go.

I liked it okay. Heck, I might even pick it up, as the sound does kick major ass. The story is pretty bare, and the acting is barely passable, but the F/X are amazing. If you want to kick back and just let the cool effects and sounds wash over you, this will do the job.

Does anyone else find $35 for Cheers season 7 to be rather high? I remember the last 6 sets selling for about $31. Plus, you can buy any Friends set, with multiple commentaries and other goodies, for $30 bucks, yet there haven't been any extra features on a Cheers set since season2 (and those ones sucked anyways). I love Cheers, but I'm seriously considering waiting until the final season is released, just in case a deal like this week's Friends promotion (all pre-10th season sets for $20 bucks each) is offered.

If you want to know all about the plot and the movie and don't mind spoilers, goto www.themoviespoiler.com to read about Stealth. The reviews I have seen and the box office take seems to say that it was not that great and may not even make its money back.

Although it does have Jessica Biel and some great bikini shots

Woohoo! An off week for me! And just in time to sort out tuition for next semester.

Although I guess Stealth would make a good Xmas gift for my brother-in-law....

Besides not being very funny, it was crass, rude, and a cheap shot at a woman who's accomplished quite a bit of good in this world. Plus she could own your ass thousands of times over.
