For anyone picking up this week's issue of People magazine (the one with Matthew McConaughey on the cover), there's a section featuring $3 off coupons for the DVDs of War Of The Worlds '05, Madagascar, Shark Tale or Shrek 1&2, and The Island. Check it out.

Hmm, I already own 4 of the 6 movies involved. The other 2 I really have no interest. Looks like I won't be buying People to save money.

Are the coupons valid with other sales? In other words, do you get $3 off the sale price or the regular price. Most stores usually state "not valid with other offers" on their sales, so you might not get $3 off the sale price. In which case it's probably cheaper just to buy the title on sale.

I'm going to try to use the WOTW coupon today, and I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm going to get WotW at Target today. I once had a $5-off coupon for Daredevil, and they were selling it for $14.99. They took the $5 off the sale price, so I got it for $9.99 (for those of you who couldn't figure out the math.)

Well, I picked up the 2-disc WOTW at Best Buy, and they accepted the $3 off coupon.

Target took $3 off the sale price, so I got WotW for $11.99. (Single disc, that is.)
