The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

The Specials

**BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! American Pie Presents: Band Camp (Unrated) AND Into the Blue are both available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one(s) ! Also, note that American Pie: Band Camp is also being released in a Rated-version but it is MAR ONLY!...stay away!!! :td: And, Dark Wateris being released in BOTH a Theatrical Version and an Unrated version…get the one that’s right for you.

--Some of this week’s releases are actually dated for release on December 26, 2005. Others are dated December 27th.

--Worth noting before we get to the store specials is that anyone interested in picking up any Disney titles this week (Toy Story 2, for example) may want to remember that there were some coupons for $3 off “any Disney DVD” and for Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition included in the Cinderella SE released a while back.

--Best Buy, this week, is advertising a $6 savings for anyone who buys Toy Story 2: Special Edition AND one of the following titles: Cinderella SE, Valiant, Kronk’s New Groove or Sky High. See in store or on-line for other titles. Must be purchased on same receipt. The “other titles” are not yet available on-line as I post this thread early Sunday morning.

--Best Buy is also listing a title: The Super Fight: Marciano vs. Ali for $16.99.

--Best Buy is also running a promotion this week of “the original” Dark Water for just $4.99.

--Target is advertising a $6 savings when you buy Toy Story 2: SE ($16.99) and one of the following titles: Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition, Cinderella SE or Sky High ($19.99 apiece). Offer automatically processed at register. No rain checks.

Target is also offering a FREE $5 GiftCard with the purchase of The Shield: Season 4. GiftCard automatically given at register. No rain checks.

The Markdowns

The latest markdowns according to DavisDVD:

Wow, I didn't think there'd be a list this week due to the holiday. Now that's dedication! Thanks Freezer. Only Twilight Zone Season Five for me this week, and I already ordered it from Amazon. I'm not even going to try braving a store in the next week.

Thankyou and happy holidays Freezer! And happy holidays to everyone else too!

I will be heading to Target for Toy Story 2, with coupon in tow; one of them that you forgot to mention, by-the-way, is that inside Toy Story 10th Anniversary's coupon booklet there is a coupon for $3 off Toy Story 2 specifically. So that will knock Target's price down to $13.99 for anybody who bought the Toy Story set earlier this year.

I don't want anything on this list. But, I did see that Target is having a sale on a lot of their TV DVD's, and so I'm going to pick up Smallville: Season Four for $25. Sweet!
