The Disclaimer
Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

"LP" in the RoundUp table means a store’s Sunday flyer says "Low Price". That means I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, as always, Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii.

Thanks freezer. Slow week for me. The only two titles I'm interested in are Free Enterprise and Kids In America. But I'll probably wait for a price drop on Kids In America. Even CC's price on it still isn't too great. Goblet of Fire I'll be waiting on till it hits HD-DVD next month. So it looks like Free Enterprise is all I have to pick up this week, and I might just get it from Amazon.com. No driving around for once this week!

Looks like HARRY POTTER 2-DISC, COSBY SHOW SEASON 2, & Single Disc JARHEAD (Blind) all @ BEST BUY. (Gotta keep racking up those RewardZone Points. I swear its the best program. I just got another $15 in cerificates last week. The program literally pays for itself!) Also, I may have to get the SPIKE LEE JOINT COLLECTION for a measly $16.99. It comes w/ 5 movies--CLOCKERS, JUNGLE FEVER, MO' BETTER BLUES, CROOKLYN, & DO THE RIGHT THING. That's only $3.39 per movie! If I have the extra cash, I can't pass that up so we'll see. As always, thanks for all the hard work Freezer!

Is the Harry Potter even any good? I liked the first one. The second was a bit on the boring saide. And the third was so forgettable, I have the DVD and can't even remember what it's about looking at the chapter list. I'll probably pickup Jarhead.

I'm more interested in GRAW this week.

Well, I'm the last person to ask, since my opinion is the opposite of yours dwette. I thought the first two films were crap. More like badly made tv movies due to Columbus' slavish devotion to the books. The third film on the other hand, I really liked. I thought the fourth fiilm was not as good as the third, but not too bad. It really picked up and the end.

On a different subject, but the original one of this thread, Best Buy's price on Kids in America is $14.99, despite what bb.com states. Guess they realized no one was going to buy a bare bones release at $25.

Maybe I just need to watch Harry Potter 3 again. If I enjoy it, I'll get 4. It's not a big deal. I've slowed down buying DVDs and have become more interested in shiny new editions of great classic movies (like that excellent release of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly) and the better of the newer movies. I'm starting to blow off the blockbusters and popcorn movies.

I also thinking Speilberg may be right. The days of the big budget, blockbuster movies are numbered. With the exception of the really good ones (like LOTR, but not SWI-III) I just don't seem to get excited by them at all. Maybe it's an age thing.

The Harry Potter movies are running into trouble as the book sizes increase. Personally I think they should have split Goblet into two films. I think they did a suprisingly good job trimming subplots and condensing, yet 4 still felt rushed to get through what was left. Adding unneccesary action set pieces didn't help because it almost felt like that was all that was left. Not awful, but not as good as three. I'm betting I can pick it up for $10 later, like I have been able to do with all the other Potters.

My favorite of the Potter films is the 3rd one, as I thought it had a nice complex plot, and I liked the time traveling aspect of it.

As for the latest film, I thought the acting was its best by the kids, and the special effects were even better, having CGI effects that were not as obvious, but the plot is more straightforward.

I enjoyed the first two films, but not as much as films 3 and 4.

id rank them 3,4,2,1.

Prisoner was the best. But I also dig Alfonso Cuarón. He is awesome.
