My friend is Romero's manager and got together with some filmmakers and the original cast of NOTLD and spent 3 days in Pittsburgh filming at all the original locations. He asked me if I'd like to join him so I went out, did some behind the scenes stuff. Provided some info, did some gofer work and just enjoyed. I got to spend the day at not only the cemetary which i've been to many times but got to go to the property where the original house was located and spent the whole afternoon evening on probably some of the most revered horror grounds ever, with the original cast. I guess there were some editing problems and they didn't think this would be ready by the time the dvd was released but i guess it is.

Duh! Man, if it was a snake (or a zombie, in this case) it would have bit me!

Don't know if anyone here is into musical theater...but this week's release of Stephen Sondheim's Company is terrific. I saw it aired a couple of months ago on PBS HD and it both looked and sounded fantastic. This is a fairly faithful recording of the 2007 revival starring Raul Esparza. This staging of the show was terrific--one of the best I've ever seen.
