It's really a shame. I used to be really dedicated to DDD but they don't seem to really make much of an effort to stay cost competative on blu-rays. Comparing their price and factoring in the 20% discount they still in many cases don't beat amazon's normal pricing. Looks like I am going to have to pass this time around

Well i placed my first order and i tend to think my only order for the sale. Sadly though they really increased the shipping prices to Canada (more then likely because of gas prices) $16.95 shipping It use to be $5.95 only for Canadian buyers. Anyways my order came to about $125 in the end

Cloverfield Blu-ray
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead Blu-ray
Bee Movie Blu-ray
Shoot'Em Up Blu-ray
Company
The Last Samurai Soundtrack
(not covered by sale)

I placed a big order today as well. No BD's, though, for the reasons cherno stated above.

Not in a hurry to place an order today. I'll likely place it sometime in the next week, as I figure out what I want to get. Got about $100 left from my economic stimulus rebate check, and I'd rather spend it on DVDs instead of a tank of gas.

I ended up ordering the Rambo Trilogy on Blu Ray and Children of Men, and Shaun of the Dead on HD-DVD. The Rambo set ended up being about 27 bucks. Also Children of Men and Shaun of the Dead were 9 bucks each. That's about all I'm gonna order for the same reasons mentioned above.

I also ordered this. I put in a much larger order than usual, as much of what I wanted was uber cheap with the 20% off. Absolutely Fabulous everything set ($150 list $72 w/discount), SNL season 3, Nip Tuck Season 1, Weeds season 3, and more. All in all I spent $265 for DVD's with a list price of almost $650!

Prisoner Megaset shipped early this morning. That's quite fast for DD especially during this big sale.

Never used deepdiscount. Might try em out with Jumper. With 20% it brings it to like $22, best price anywhere

Damn, how long does the free shipping option take? I've been waiting like ten days for my order. It almost makes it not worth it.

7-10 business days is the norm for US Media Mail delivery. It isn't considered lost until 20 business days go by. One DVD took around 25 days to arrive, just when I was about to email them that it got lost in the mail.

If you want something quickly, the free S&H option is not recommended.

Unfortunately though that makes there prices around the same as Amazons if I had to pay for shipping. If that were the case at least Amazon would have been here in two days. Oh well something I learned. I guess I probably won't order from again.

Yeah, their free shipping is slow as balls. Oh well, I'll keep waiting patiently by the door.

Got my stuff today. The box was slightly smooshed. Hope everything works.

Is there anything better than getting a big box of DVDs?

DVDPriceSearch.com is reporting that their code: PRICESEARCH, has been extended for a week, good through 6/29/08. Not sure if all the other codes have been extended or not.
